Youghal Comhaltas promotes traditional Irish music through in a variety of ways, music lessons being one. Our music lessons in a wide range of instruments are extremely popular and are available from those aged 6 and over. We also offer a range of lessons for beginner adults and those returning to music.
Learning an instrument at an early age helps grow confidence and self-esteem. We like to keep classes small and place pupils with those of similar ability. All our teachers are enthusiastic and have a love of traditional Irish music; some are actually past pupils themselves. Our lessons incorporate group sessions in addition to single instrument classes and individual tuition. We also encourage participating in Fleadh’s and public performances whenever possible. Our children are invited to attend additional workshops and social outings which we feel encourages them to make great friends while they are with us.

We offer Music Classes in:
Tin Whistle, Flute, Fiddle, Mandolin, Banjo, Harp, Concertina, Button Accordion, Guitar and Bodhrán.
